[일본-수소생산] Japan’s Kawasaki starts construction of hydrogen plant

Japanese multinational manufacturer Kawasaki Heavy Industries announced Friday the start of construction on a Hydrogen Liquefaction and Loading Terminal for the Hydrogen Energy Supply Chain pilot project, Kallanish Energy learns.

The facility, located in Australia, will convert hydrogen gas into liquefied hydrogen, then dispatched to Japan. It will be produced using brown coal mined from the Latrobe Valley in the state of Victoria.

The pilot project will create a foundation to develop a hydrogen export industry in the country, according to Kawasaki.
